Telluride ranks in the top 10-three times

The Telluride Ski Resort has received three, unprecedented top 10 rankings in recent SKI and Skiing, and Conde Nast magazines. Telluride was recently recognized as the #10 resort in North America in the November 2003 issue of Skiing magazine. The ranking came on the heels of SKI magazine also naming Telluride #10 for the first time in its October 2003 issue.

The Telluride Ski Resort is slated for a Nov. 26 opening, and is poised for a tremendous year with reservations and airline bookings tracking well ahead of last year according to the ski company's Vice President of Marketing and Sales Pete Woods.

“Telluride Central Reservations is up 37 percent and air reservations are up a whopping 24 percent,” said Woods.

Two seasons ago, Telluride infused $14 million into Prospect Bowl, creating one of the most remarkable and unique experiences in ski country. This season, the ski company's focus will be on improving key areas including guest services, mountain dining, grooming and snowmaking and terrain features (pipes and parks).

An early September snowfall beckoned the beginning of winter but gave way to sunny, beautiful “Indian” summer weather. The fall colors from the Aspens were vibrant and a wide array of startling colors September's 10th annual Blues & Brews festival was a blast with headliners Joe Cocker and the Allman Brothers topping off 3 solid days of festivities. On top of all of that, real estate activity in the Telluride market remains extremely strong and at near record levels.
